Petion Law, P.A., a full-service Personal Injury firm based in Aventura , Florida is seeking to fill a newly opened position for experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal.

Responsibilities

Enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; tracking cases; supporting attorney’s trial proceedings.

Duties

• Excellent drafting and organizational skills

• Organized, self-motivated, with ability to work independently

• Experience handling files, including:

• Experience with Florida e-filing portal system;

• Good communication and customer service skills (must be professional and courteous);

• Ability to manage attorney calendar;

• Coordination of depositions with opposing counsel, judicial assistants and

• clients;

• Scheduling hearings with opposing counsel and judicial assistants;

• Responding to discovery requests;

• Experience with online scheduling and Florida e-filing portal system; and

• Experience with preparation for Pre-Trial Conferences.

Skills and Qualifications

Paralegal: 3 years (Required)

Reporting Skills, Legal Administration Skills, Client Relationships, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Dependability, Client Confidentiality, Verbal and written communication.

Required Experiences in the Following Practice Areas: Pip Litigation, Personal Injury, Residential & Commercial Property Damages, Commercial Contracts & Family Law.'

English (Fluent), Creole (Fluent) and Spanish (preferred)
